Prior to our retirement from retail, Seahorse Scuba was a PADI 5 STAR TRAINING FACILITY. That title meant that we had achieved a high state of professionalism through experience. The instructor you choose for your scuba training, DOES MAKE A DIFFERENCE. Each of our instructors has been certifying divers as their full time job since 1989. Our classes are ALL INCLUSIVE and entirely local. We teach privately for you or you and your family and or friends. We know how to make your training SAFE and FUN. Each open water-training dive is completed LOCALLY from our dive boat in the GULF OF MEXICO, NOT IN A LAKE, A QUARRY OR A LONG OVER NIGHT ROAD TRIP AWAY. This allows you to learn how to safely dive in the open ocean under professional supervision. These ocean dives are not an extra cost. 

WHY SHOULD I CHOOSE PRIVATE CERTIFICATION LESSONS  

Allow me to list just 3 of the many reasons why private lessons are better.

1. Your lessons move forward at your pace. There's no pressure if you're not able to master a knowledge requirement or water skill and are holding up the class and no boredom or frustration if you do get it and have to wait for someone else.

2. Your valuable time and lesson schedule is not changed in anyway because a fellow student is either late, having to leave early or a no show.

3. Your knowledge requirements are easily met and thoroughly understood after 1 on 1 academic training with your instructor. You are capable, confident and ready to move from the pool to the ocean after 1 on 1 confined water training with your instructor. You feel safer and therefore have more fun during your 1 on 1 open water training dives with your instructor. 

AREN'T PRIVATE LESSONS MORE EXPENSIVE  

NO!!! Don't be misled by an inexpensive advertised class price. There are hundreds of dollars in unadvertised HIDDEN costs you are responsible for. Such as manuals and other academic supplies. Personal equipment like dive mask, snorkel, fins and boots. Equipment rental, such as regulator, BCD, weights and wet suit. Maybe even air fill charges for the tanks you'll be using, but let's not forget the most expensive charge. You'll be expected to leave town for 2 days to complete your open water training. Think how expensive a weekend away from home could be. Since this class is NOT set to your schedule, maybe you'll have to take off work, then there's the fuel for your car, your hotel cost, your food and drink cost. Then comes your boat fees for the training dives. Wow, the training dive weekend alone could be hundreds of dollars. Then just think if your unsuccessful performing your skills or the dives are cancelled due to weather, then you'll have to pay for another weekend away from home, and maybe more time away from work. You could spent way more then our ALL INCLUSIVE price and not receive any of the benefits of our private program.

Years of teaching experience has taught us that our ALL INCLUSIVE no hidden charges, entirely local, scuba certification program is the most cost effective and student friendly program in Lee County, if not all of Florida.

COMPLETE BEGINNER TRAINING FOR THE LOCAL OR VACATIONING STUDENT THEIR FAMILY AND OR FRIENDS 

Seahorse Scuba has been serving students with an accelerated certification program since 1989. The TYPICAL program takes 3 days. Three days of your choice. Each day starts at 8 and ends before 12 so you'll have plenty of time for other activities. It all starts with your phone call to 239-872-6295 to reserve the days that you want for your training. We then mail you a training manual and homework assignments that you complete at home. Once you are in Florida or have completed your homework locally, your training begins according to your prearranged schedule. Our accelerated program is designed for the student with time limitations, such as a vacationer or a local with a difficult work schedule. Therefore you pay only one fee for tuition with NO hidden charges and NO equipment purchases or rental fees needed. All you need is a bathing suit.

TOTAL TRAINING FEE = $599 per student.
NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT = $299 per student. BALANCE DUE = $300 per student.

PADI AND UNIVERSAL REFERRAL DIVES  (This is different from and does not apply to the programs listed above)

After you have successfully completed your classroom session and confined water training session, at someplace other then Seahorse Scuba, you can ask your local instructor for a referral form. This form allows you to complete the remainder of your training anywhere in the world. Once you have this form you should call us at 239-872-6295 to reserve the 2 days, of your choice, you will need to complete your training. Each day starts at 8 and ends before 12 so you'll have plenty of time for other activities. Our referral program is all-inclusive. Therefore, you need not travel with bulky scuba equipment. All you need to bring is your referral form, log book, dive table and bathing suit.

TOTAL REFERRAL FEE = $299 per student. NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT = $150 per student. BALANCE DUE = $149 per student.
